Cowley Plant- Italian Job 50th Birthday

How cool.

Oxford's Mini plant could have been mistaken for Italy yesterday as boiler-suit clad criminals re-staged a scene from The Italian Job to celebrate the film's 50th birthday.

Very good that Wes
Looks like Russ Swift has passed the reigns over to his son, Paul. I met Russ a couple of times at Minifest Uttoxeter, such a nice bloke and always has time to chat to people.

Still annoys though, how BMW jump on every chance to link their non Minis with the real thing. It’s the 60 year anniversary of the Mini..........nothing to do with the abominations that they are producing now  Vauxhall, Ford etc etc might as well be celebrating too :duh:

The Mini... the car that outshone the actors, one of the best car chases of all time. :D

You got your Mini sorted yet Paul?

When the Mini came out I said that I would never drive one of those stupid toy cars. After driving one for the company I worked for, I ended up having three! The last one being an orange 1275 GT with go faster stripes!:duh:
