Cars on the road on Easter Sunday

I wonder what excuse people have to be in there cars today?

All the food shops are shut apart from a few corner shops, you are not allowed to visit relatives, the chemists are all shut and there no churches open?

I cant believe there are that many people working?

In the last 15 mins about 5 cars a min have gone past my house and I don't live on a main road.

Am I missing something?

I see we've had the first Covid-19 police car chase! People have been reporting AirBNB's for letting them out to tourist, 650 Cornish properties have been reported so far

"St Austell Police noticed two vehicles that had "travelled down from out of Cornwall." Both tried to make off, but the police were quick to the chase. The two cars were successfully stopped and seized. "Some occupants arrested, along with COVID-19 fines issued to others," St Austell Police said in a statement."

There'll be some interesting Court cases later on, challenging the powers that have been used.

I was out today as I have been most days, I'll be out tomorrow as well and I'd rather not be. At this moment I have no money coming in, nothing at all and I'm taking work to get by. I'm one of those that isn't covered by any government scheme to get money to people. I'm lucky to have full cupboards and no worries about being fed, I do need money for the bills though and as I work on a football stadium, I'm getting nothing due to greed. I will be putting a new sump on a Honda Civic in the morning for a hospital worker, I don't want the job but I've taken it out of need. There are people that fit no list and I'm one of them.

Cycled to work at 6:15 am to answer a call out from a farmer and there was a lot of traffic on the A96

Quieter here than yesterday thankfully, strangely though a lot of cabriolets with the tops down enjoying the sun.. Essential journeys, hmm I suspect not being the old pessimist that I am.

I am also in this category so I know where you are coming from. I am hoping I have some work on Wednesday this week. I was just surprised to see so many cars out on a day when the majority of people have no where to go.

What also surprised me was how many of the cars had couples in them.

The problem is I think with these restrictions some people think it does not mean them for some reason? I noticed today a neighbour a few doors away had another car on her drive so I presume they had visitors.

It has been joyously quiet here. I live on a (usually) busy B-road between two towns. During a typical rush hour it's one car every 5 seconds; today it's been one every 5 minutes. Instead of speeding cars and the distant roar of the M6 the background sound has been birdsong.
