what could be going clonk when you brake?

Hello,

doesnt happen all time, sometimes its louder than others.

More of a creaking clonk than a hammer clonk if that makes sense.

Seems to be coming from the front of the car.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Dave

Engine lower mount
Drop links
Ball joints
Subframe mounts
Engine mount
Lots of other stuff

I have done the first two on my ZT and still have a clunk.
The mount was definately shot, the droplinks possibly not.
It started off not too bad and has rapidly got worse.
Next for me is the lower arms and ball joints.

My guess would be lower arms rear bush, I have seen this on a couple of cars. The bush looks OK but when put it under a side load it seems to separate.
