A little IPK help

Ok, I realise the IPK convo has been done to death but I have searched the forum and can't find any answer to what I'm looking at.

So - I have just bought a facelift that had the bog standard light up icons on the dash.

I have purchased a IPK with a screen and accompanying trip stalk.

I installed the stalk, took apart the cluster both old and new. Transferred the eeprom from the bog standard to the IPK with screen.

Now the problem. I have reinstalled and now have 2 non working screens. I get nothing on the trip comp screen but now also nothing on the milage display.

Any help would be appreciated.

Point of note. The eeprom on the bog standard from the MK2 was in a different location to the screened version.

I'm hoping I haven't broken anything, I have form 🤣

I would guess the standard eeprom isn't compatible with the higher spec instruments. I'd suggest contacting the north Newcastle guru :D

Sounds plausible. I should really stop just jumping into stuff.

North Newcastle Guru?

Send Rick Bhullar a pm. He might be able to help.

You can't just simply copy the eeprom data from the lowline cluster straight to the highline one. The highline cluster will need to be virginised and then coded to your ZT with a t4 or toaf to get it working.

Marinabrian is up near your way, not sure how active he is these days but should be able to do it for you. I'm at the other end of the country in Essex.
