Corrosion under the drivers seat
I've found a lot of green corrosion under the drivers seat and wondered if anybody has an idea where it may have come from?

Have you got a sunroof ???
Green oxidised deposits are from the copper in the wiring as evidenced by your connector in the pic.. |
No sunroof
The plenum was blocked when I first got the car but that was only half inch full |
I'm hoping it looks worse than it actually is

Marc; is that the connector for the electric seats which you don't have (re. your recent k-bus problem)?

I only noticed it today when fitting new floor mats |

Check the heater pipes etc. I had a damp carpet there for ages when the heater gave out and some water spilt, also the joints leaked for a while. Although the leaks are fixed the damp "feel" is still there, possibly the antifreeze residue that hangs around for ages.

Definitely copper corrosion deposits. Thinking outside of the box, I wonder is water is leaching down one of the cables, and then being dropped on the carpet?

It looks like..
I'd suggest that it's had the forum Carol Kirkwood fan club in there, complete with their Rheumatism Copper bracelets on. It looks like a few members would like to splash out on a new dress for her..
