Flooded Bootspace

Has anyone else gone to their beloved 75 only to find mucho water in the boot with no apparent entry point ?

Mystery to me so far

Drying it all out as I type

If it's a saloon it'll be most likely the rear light seals.

Search for light seals on here and plenty of threads will come up.

May also be rear screen, the side trims or there is a vent at the side behind carpet. It could be any or all. Changed light seals on mine first turned out to be vent

Water ingress in boot

The other point of entry is the fixing holes where the external horizontal chrome trim strips attach on either side of the body flanks. On manufacture these have the clip holes sealed with a mastic, but if car has undergone body repairs or if the mastic no longer is doing its job then spare wheel well can get flooded together with failure of the Sat Nav drive - mine did. I eventually used Captain Tolley's creeping crack cure and this solved the problem for only a few pounds expenditure.
