I am looking to buy a new trolley jack. What would you recommend?

I have a Sealey 1025HL. It is high lift so useful when using the centre lifting points.

I have a decade's old one but if I was going to get one now these folks crop up regularly when this question is asked.

Mine doesn't go under newer cars, they need to be lifted a couple of inches then it's fine - not an issue on the 75 but maybe something worth considering if you've got other cars.

I would definitely look for a 3 tonne heavy duty high lift trolley jack that is capable of lifting your car on the centre jacking points giving you greater flexibility for use on your car . While you do not particularly need to in vest in a professional garage jack you want one that is fit for purpose
Nothing wrong with any of the jacks listed but what you spend depends on your budget .
One of my Jacks at home is a National Machinery 3 tonne trolley jack which I use in my garage and while not breaking the bank it is of a decent quality

I have an SGS trolley jack and all I can say is AVOID.
It does not lower the car, it drops it

What was the customer service like when you told them?

Always interesting to know how "problems" are dealt with as stuff breaks or is duff - it happens - it's what happens next that I'm particularly interested in. That's how I choose the folks I buy from.

I think they were quite good telling me to try this and that but it was a couple of years ago and I did not follow it up as much as I should.

Perhaps I should speak to them again but I'm kind of used to it but I don't like it.

Others seem to speak highly of them and there may always be one dud but if I did not pipe up I don't think that would be fair to others, after all, we recommend.

I have a Sealey 3040AG 3tonne Trolley Jack Rocket Lift

Seem to have gone up a bit since I bought one but I'm happy with it.

Goes up and down smoothly and have always felt very safe with it. It is heavy though.

Yeah, mine is 33kg.

Might be worth getting one of those beam thingymajigs so the vehicle is lifted in parallel. They usually slot into the hole left when the lifting saddle is removed.
