Medical records -shared - heads up.
 

Identifiable medical data ie your medical records are to be passed/allowed to be transferred from the practice systems to 3rd parties unless the patient opts out by the 23rd June 2021. Chris S.

I thought it had been delayed? I did not know it was 3rd parties I thought it was all NHS would have access to your records, thanks

Yes it was due to be transferred in July, now it's been delayed until September but don't know if the 23rd June opt out deadline still applies though ;)

Delayed until September so I'm guessing you have until that date to opt out, I had a text yesterday from my practice asking what my choice was.

Reading through all of the info they can still share data even if you opt out but removing identifiable information first unless required by law.

The idea of sharing data is okay if it helps others but with so much privatisation in the NHS now I'm guessing it will be shared with whoever and not always for your/our care.

As long as they do not mention my sex change operation all will be fine:D
