Medical records -shared - heads up.
Identifiable medical data ie your medical records are to be passed/allowed to be transferred from the practice systems to 3rd parties unless the patient opts out by the 23rd June 2021. Chris S.

I thought it had been delayed? I did not know it was 3rd parties I thought it was all NHS would have access to your records, thanks

Yes it was due to be transferred in July, now it's been delayed until September but don't know if the 23rd June opt out deadline still applies though ;)

Delayed until September so I'm guessing you have until that date to opt out, I had a text yesterday from my practice asking what my choice was.
Reading through all of the info they can still share data even if you opt out but removing identifiable information first unless required by law. NHS Digital and Public Health England all other health and care organisations by 30 September 2021 (delayed from March 2020 to allow organisations to focus on the COVID-19 outbreak).
