creaky pedal
 
can anybody tell me why my clutch pedal creaks on movement. wd40 stopped it for a few hours , now its back:sissy:

Ah the old creaky clutch pedal syndrome:D Squirt some silicone grease up into the part where the clutch pedal enters the master cylinder,:}

I think its a case of "they all do that", sprayed mine with silicone grease after fitting Tazu mk1 master cylinder, seemed less creaky for a bit (might have been placebo effect). Now its creaky again and i just get on with it :}

Have to agree, although, someone mentioned recently, that if you slacken the bolts holding the pedal plate to the bulkhead & fit some sort of washer between, it stops any movement, clicking, :shrug: worth a bash:shrug::}

Mine began squeaking years ago so I gave the pedal pivots and push-rod a spray of silicon grease, which fixed it, until a few months ago. I then swapped it to the billet TAZU and the squeak stopped, then restarted last week, but intermittently. I'll give it another spray when I get a roundtuit.

I found on one of my old 75s it was the pedal box itself creaking, due to the heavy clutch and thus load on the Master cylinder.
