It shouldn't happen to a MOT tester!!

This is a long true story.
My local friendly MOT tester, Terry, decided to take his wife shopping having worked around the clock for many months trying to catch up on the backlog of people driving around with no MOT. One Sunday morning he stopped outside the local furniture shop and parked next to a police patrol car. As he got out of the car the officer got out as well. Terry nodded to the officer who then told him to get his car MOT'd!!! As he spoke further to the officer he could hear the officer's cars detection system constantly going off because of the cars without MOTs driving past!!!
Terry took his car back to the garage and duly had his car MOT'd!!!
It gets better....
The following day, Terry, being a kind soul, picked up his neighbours car and drove it to his garage as it needed a set of tyres. He duly replaced them and later that day drove the car back towards his neighbour's house. As he drove past the local mobile café, a police patrol car saw him drive past and set off in hot pursuit of Terry. After about 5 miles, the officer pulled him over and informed him that the car didn't have an MOT. Terry was surprise and told the officer he was an MOT tester. The officer didn't believe him and he must have been having a bad day and was threatening to book him. Terry said he would take the car back and would make sure it passed an MOT. The officer was having none of it and at this stage, Terry age 67, had also has enough. The officer informed Terry that the only way it could be driven is if it had a MOT appointment and he was going to have car towed. Terry had lost patience completely by this stage, got in the car and drove back to the garage. The officer gave chase and was fuming!! Unbeknown to the officer, Terry was best mates with the head of the local police and phoned him up to explain the situation. In the middle of his conversation the police officer burst into Terry's office, handcuffs at the ready, shouting at Terry. Terry gave the officer the phone and asked him to explain to his superior what was going on. Everything went quiet, the phone was duly returned to Terry and the officer left with his tail between his legs!!
It happens to the best of them!!
