A friend of ours has had one sitting in his garage for years. One of his "Round Tuit" projects.... Wasted....

I bet the Trabant drew a lot of attention too!

Newbie from Lincolnshire

http://my documentshttp://my documentsRecently joined the club and bought a facelift Connie Tourer today. Browsing the forums and found this thread. I have a Fiat Ducato which I converted to a camper about 4 years ago. We are members of the caravan and motorhome club and use the van throughout the year. I enjoyed the build and we love the van. This is my first post since joining and not really sure how to post any pics. Geoff.

Hi Geoff, if you go to image gallery tab on the top of the forum, page, click that ,then go to upload image, this will open another window at bottom of the page, click choose image, this will take you to your images page, select the one you want then click choose, host it. If the image is within the size boundaries, you just click the BB IMG CODE on your uploaded pic frame, select copy, then go to your post and select paste, this will give a load of text and code in the post. If you click preview post, this will show your post with picture before it is public, if all,is ok, just hit submit and that’s everything done.

Well we only covered 1,555 miles last year between mot's due to covid so getting itchy feet to get out in the motorhome when the weather gets a bit warmer (no Jack Frost) we might have to have a weekend away at mygate on the drive. I might get round to fitting the night heater so the motorhome could be used all year round.

We've run three motorhomes and four caravans in the last 15 years. The first was a Horizons Unlimited Innovation 1, then an Adria Coral Compact. These were followed by two Eriba Touring Troll 540's, a Lunar Quasar 464 and a Bailey Rimini. We then went back to motorhomes and an HU Innovation 3, which we sold last Spring. Given Covid we've not bothered even discussing replacement.
I've always insisted that any motorhome we have must be capable of being my daily driver. I can't see the point of paying out all the VED, insurance, depreciation etc on an extra vehicle that sits around unused for most of the time. Mind that's also a problem because it means small vehicles and you can go stir crazy in them on a holiday tour. Anything bigger isn't practical for daily use and is only really suitable to park on a pitch, not for gadding about a locality etc.

Here's mine:

1998 Pilote Galaxy 27S on a Peugeot Boxer chassis. Pulls the trailer and My chamois without any issues. Looking forward to getting out in it a bit more this year.

No idea why my photos are appearing upside down!

We looked at the A class motorhomes but could not find anything with the layout we wanted within our budget. Then an autocruise impala (1998 fiat ducato/alko chassis) came up on ebay this was almost a dream come true for me as I really liked the style and quality of the finish. We do a lot of walking/hiking and take some of our grandchildren away with us we have to work to a rota to avoid arguements amongst them.
