CDT version cdti

I've been asked what the difference is between the CDT and the CDTi.
I think it is the bhp but not 100% sure.
I'm hoping someone can answer it once and for all

Nothing more than a difference in mapping and both should be ditched for a 160 map in my opinion :)

An option at new purchase.

As above, simply ECU mapping.

The CDT is a dog in its standard form, the CDTi is noticeably livelier.
Both can be remapped to 160bhp but if solo I am not convinced the CDTI needs it but the CDT needs something doing to it.

apart from BHP they are I think the same vehicle

:) I am the owner of a CDT too. I found my CDT to be sluggish and with a caravan in tow, even on the flat, if there was a head wind had to go from 5th down to 4th. I first fitted a synergy box then removed it and had a 160 remap. I assume my CDTi is standard but it is so much better with and without the caravan then my CDT was.

And a dog is a mans best friend.

Do you find your CDT sluggish?

Strangely enough NO. A friend I gave a lift to a few days ago asked what bhp the engine was because of how well it was performing.----

I'm used to acceleration as I ride a 130 bhp motorbike with a 0 to 60 time of just over 3 seconds and 0 to 100 in 8 so I'm fairly well up on acceleration.----:D:D:D

PS. I do agree about the dog comment though. ( To be honest I prefer them to us lot. )

you forgot to mention, pulling all the way round to the red line :)
Sold by 1200 Bandit a few weeks ago, I think I am now a retired biker.
Must have been my CDT then.
