This years service and repairs a biggy this year replace front subframe, steering rack, both lower arm rear mounts and both subframe torsion bars. Fortunately advised last year so able to get everything together car in workshop day and half.

My friend has just had his jaguar upper arms replaced. Took it in for new rear brake discs and pads, and was advised to ‘have a look while it’s on the hoist’. He said it was a wonder that the springs had not gone through the bottom of them.Been out in it since and it is lovely and smooth he said.

My car seems to have aged a lot in the last 12 months. The classic mini is mid rebuild and once it’s finished the 75 will be next. It’s looking like new springs all round, rear suspension arms, rear back plates, rear brakes and rear bearings…..
