Sad V8 ZTT at mathewsons

Needs a bit of work and the engine knock is a bit of a worry , might be something for the V8 experts to have a look at ?

A very sad motor, I'm surprised how much damage there is on such a low mileage car!

Oil starvation is the culprit. A very unloved car. Such a shame.

Previous MOT history says the car used tyres up doing no miles at all so may not be only 40k miles on it.
Stripping the engine on a zt V8 is a simple process once removed as I found out when I did the head gaskets and timing chains on mine while I was also changing the clutch etc . All on the drive without special tools so not difficult

The Continentals on mine (oem + 1 change) only did less than 5,000 per rear set, so don't be surprised that the ratio of tyres to mileage is high. ;)

Maybe so but that used up tyres doing less than 20 miles

Stocktake went for a look at this yesterday for me, there are a few issues, notably the fresh oil on the dipstick and the cable tied disconnected air con pump, deep pockets will be needed to bring this one back to decent condition.

Aye, sorry it wasn't better news Trikey but better you know the truth. I think it speaks volumes of the lack of care the car has had to just leave the AC compressor hanging loose on plastic tie wraps. Just to confirm the picture of the dipstick the oil is actually full of brand new oil but according to Mathewsons still had the terminal big end knock.

Sounds like a very unloved car, It is possible that this car car has a hidden history and could cost serious money to sort
