We made it in record time. Final trip home
The Flying Banana made the trip from home to my brother in laws in Totteridge in four and a half hours, with one stop the let the bladder out. We covered 236 miles without any sort of issue. Even the M25 was kind to us. We only hit three figures, aka 69.9mph, a couple of times.
Tried a different route for a change, just to see if it made a difference. A38-M5-A30-A303-A34-M4-M25 and onto the A1 as far as Stirling Corner where we turned off and down the back roads to the house. Im so much back in love with Banana, and all thanks to the team that gave the advice, namely DAVE LINCS, and MATT DARKE for doing the physical work. Plus a few other members who all came to the same conclusion regarding the faults. Along with Trikey & Mickyboy for the parts. It is very much appreciated. Long May the friendship continue. Im in London for my Best Mates funeral. I could not let him go without saying a proper goodbye. |
Thats great Bob glad the trip went well and all the best for the funeral

Home after a nightmare journey, nearly 7 hours with one stop, and Banana has two new problems but other than that we managed to travel 734 miles. And we got 38 mpg over the trip.

Just been out to check and no water or oil was used on our trip. Happy with that.
