Android phone to Harmony?
I have seen apps for FM transmissions from android phones to a set frequency on an FM radio??? Is this possible to do this to a Harmony FM radio, as you can manually tune the Harmony to a frequency. I'm wondering about transmitting music from my phone, via the app, to the FM radio. ??? Or should I just upgrade the radio? I do like to keep things original if poss. I've tried a couple of the apps but haven't managed to get it to work yet.

An FM transmitter will do the job without an app. Just plug it in to your phone, put the transmitter to a free frequency where there's just static, and tune your radio into that frequency. Then you can just use your phone to play music and it'll come out the car's speakers. Some of them are bluetooth and plug into your car's cigarette lighter, and some are AUX and some can take batteries. They're around £15. Sound quality is acceptable, I don't know if I've got a dodgy one but mine constantly crackles and there's always a high pitched whine, but they do work.

I've put this one and use it with my Symphony Low Line.
It's discreet & efficient and the sound is fine. I've got a mini card as well in it and my bluetooth phone & the rest are emitting on FM frequency 108. Hence I was able to keep alive my 6 CD changer. https://www.ebay.fr/itm/USB-Car-Kit-...item56a2f414af https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/NGEAA...~N/s-l1600.jpg |
