Best comfort tyres for facelift R75?
Think mine is 16" rim (the fork-end alloy) so think should be 215/55 tyres. But there are so many choices that I'm not quite sure what to get.
My main requirement is maximum comfort (softest possible ride + minimum tyre noise). Everything else can be average. Absolute cost is not as important as value (i.e. I am willing to pay more for a really good set while not interested in a horrible set even if it's free). Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. :beer2: |
Not sure about comfort, but I bought UniRoyal Rain masters for safety really, they are a bit noisier than tyres with less tread, but are safer in the rain. And in the UK we get a lot of rain!!! lol... :o

Run mine on Dunlop fastresponce and am very pleased with ride comfort, noise level and road holding.

Correct tyre size are 215/55/R16
When first introduced the tyres fitted on the prduction line were Continental They give a lovely soft ride and plenty of grip both in the wet and the dry, very quiet but a bit pricey. Dave T |
I have 16 inch wheels shod with Avon (ZV5s) and they are quiet and the ride is comfortable....i might be wrong here, but i'm sure the facelifts were slightly firmer sprung than the original cars......but i'm not 100% certain.

If your looking for quality and a Premium brand,Pirelli P6000's are a great choice. The tyres are non directional so they can be moved around the car for a greater lifespan.
Very silent running, with great performance in most conditions. |
Sshhh
If you want the quietest most resilient ride then obviously you should fit the 15" wheels with the 195 X65 tyres. Since they are the least popular you can get a set for peanuts. failing that I am very pleased with my Khumo 215X55
set on the 16" rims, a good compromise IMO. |
