New stereo suggestions

The VDO CR213X in my Connie is encouraging me to retire it by playing up (slow to start up, unresponsive) so time to spend some Christmas money.

I'd like single DIN, a CD slot, line in socket in the front panel, ability to play MP3, USB. And the steering wheel controls to work.

Any suggestions?

cheers!

I fitted a Sony BT head unit in my 05 Conny. You will need a new surround (radio to car specific), a harness adaptor, aerial adaptor and a steering wheel control adaptor (some original radios have a light sensor/infra red setup rather than wiring) all specifically to fit each other and from the same manufacturer as the different makes are not compatible. The adaptor bits cost me as much as the radio but the sound quality on the new radio made it all worth doing.;) I kept the original speakers and found them fine for me but more "attuned" ears may prefer Harmon K setup or replacements with amplifiers etc. (too modern for me!) Since I changed Rovers, I haven't yet updated as the original is still doing OK. Jubbarelly will have plenty of ideas but some Halfrauds examples:-
