Hi all

Next social is next Tuesday at the Harrows again.

Not sure i can make it though as its SWMBO birthday. Permission has been given but ... dare i risk it ??

Food is good there and the beer is cold so hopefully a few can make it.

Take her on Monday as well, 50% is paid by the government, so a certain amount you've already paid for, and t'other half thinks she's been treated twice or that you've done something really bad :shrug:

I'm planning to go, will see if my friend who went last time wants to go.

Thats the plan table booked for Monday mother in law coming Tuesday so may pop out 🙂

Maybe hold your horses as Rob could have some news for us regarding the Four Ashes, and if so then use the FA as the social meet that way our support starts again.

The Four Ashes is being taken over by a couple, new tenant is called Michelle.

She is in there now preparing for a weekend opening if all goes to plan so the next social could be at the Ashes

I will keep popping by and if it opens at the weekend will let everyone know

Certainly we should use the Ashes if it's open, it's one of the reasons that the social nights came in to existance and moved to the Ashes from Walsall where the social nights originally started. It's difficult to do but we really need an improvement in attendance at the social nights as it has dropped significantly since it's inception, but you can lead a horse to the water! At the actual Nano Meets people need to be encouraged to at least go and buy a drink/crisps whatever to show appreciation to the pub for using the land imho.

The Ashes has not yet opened so can we say meet at the Harrows on Tuesday around 7.15pm for the social night and to discuss Sept & Oct meets.

It was always going to be a tall order to get the Ashes open in a few days for one thing they will probably be waiting on deliveries.
