spade connectors, what size and where to buy?
 
what size are the spade connectors on the rear light clusters, do they have a special name and where can they be bought from?

The standard for spade connectors is 1/4 in. Ian which you should be able to confirm by measurement. :D

Vehicle Wiring Products in Ilkeston will have what you need.

I can totally agree with the comments above.


However be very wary, just nip in and get what you need, or else if you are like me you'll have a browse through the whole catalogue to see what might come in handy at a later date, then like a child with free range in a sweet shop come out with a big bag of, " Well I didn't know they did those, that will come in handy, ahh I've always needed that. " bits and bobs.


That two pound packet of terminals soon multiplies in price. :}


Joking aside, often when looking for a wiring or electrical solution, having a look through such as the above and the RS etc catalogues comes up with a perfect solution.;)

I will have to wait until I get home for measuring as we are in a green field 200 miles from home with the caravan.
Trying to fix the rear offside fog light I ended up losing the whole light cluster but a bodge has all but reversing and fog working, I wont bother with those until I get home.
