Many Thanks GRS6680

Gordon May I sincerely thank you for helping me out today, and would not accept any thing other than the price of a packet of ciggies. Extremely grateful.
Hope you got home without any further problems.

Hi Steve, how are you keeping, Gordon came round and helped me do a service on the Black One and wanted to see the amount of blue smoke that came out on start up from cold, not on tick over but when we gave it some revs, its an ongoing subject with different views as to what might be the cause, his opinion that it cant be the valve stem seals on an engine with only 32500 on the clock,
and certainly don't want to go down that road of stripping the engine.
Other views from revered experts on here it is very rare for the Turbo to go wrong, so I am at a loss as to what the problem is.

How did you get on with the intercooler Jules? You've mentioned before that the O-rings might be leaking, have you replaced them and cleaned the intercooler internally of any oil that might have collected?

No! Afraid to say not got around to doing that, not to savvy in taking the bumper off?

It's not unknown for the intercooler to collect a little oil over time and it can be a source of blue smoke. Some prefer to take the bumper off and others not so, never done the job myself so I can't recommend in favour of either. But I think that I would certainly look at leaving the bumper on if the O-rings were the only job of consideration. Have you got new O-rings yet then?

Yes I have, I have had a look down there and what I can see is the jubilee clip screw is facing towards the out side so not able to get a driver onto it, if it had been facing up I might have had a go at taking the hose off.

All good this way thanks. Hope all is well your way.
Problem with cars today is trying to find a fault can be a right pain. Gone are the days when it was down to two faults.
Fuel or spark plugs. Now it's what sensor is not happy .
