Platinum Jubilee Parade in Newquay
Banana has been invited to attend the Jubilee Parade this coming Saturday.
This a copy of the email received today. A very big thanks to everyone who has offered their support for Newquay's Platinum Jubilee Parade, the Lady who is organising the event is so grateful to you all, I'm sorry that we can't include each of our members who offered their cars, but there is a possibility of an event later in the year where we will be the 'star attraction'. Strangely enough, I'm still missing an MGF from the 1990's, so if any of our MGF owners can spare their afternoon next Saturday, it would certainly complete the line-up. And has anyone got a MG HS, MG ZS, MG ZS EV from the 2020's? The parade assembles in the car park opposite Newquay Fire Station in Tregunnel Hill, which is the first turning right up Gannel Road. We will need to be in the car park by 4:30pm and the parade leaves for Town at 5:15pm and passes throughout the town. I will give you more details as I get them. Thanks, once again, to everyone for their support. Kind regards Robert Cornwall MG Owners line-up is as follows: For the 1950's - MGA Roadster – David Evans For the 1960's – MGC Roadster - Robert Lynex MGB Roadster – Andrew Smith For the 1970's - MGB GT V8 - Steve Horne MG Midget – James Evans For the 1980's - MGB Limited Edition – Roland Woods For the 1990's - MGR V8 – Andy Slapp For the 2000's - MG ZR 160 - Jim Clapp MG ZT – Bob Burgess For the 21's MG6 – Adam Gilbert So if you are in the area, pop along and say hello. |
