Mg hs

Anyone have any feedback on the MG HS as the wife is looking at new cars and at about 30k Aud new with a 5 year warranty they look pretty good.

I've not driven one but we do have a ZS.
Lots of naysayers but have to say it's been brilliant - no issues to speak of.
From what I've heard the HS is even better

I'd also be interested to hear some real life thoughts on the HS.

It looks great inside and out and comes with a lot of kit for not a whole heap of money.

The official reviews are often hard on these cards I find, the reviewers tend to (either intentionally or not) compare them to more established brands that have had many many years of development to get their models right.

MG haven't had the benefit of time like other manufacturers but seem to be doing a decent job of it. Seeing quite a lot of ZS' on the roads around Cardiff these days.

I’ve not driven one, but as above, my wife also has a new ZS. I drove it for a week while having the clutch in the ZT sorted. I was quite impressed with it, especially for the price, it was better than the Skoda octavia hire car I had the week before. So much so that I’m looking at the Hs as my possible next car. Won’t be for a few years yet, but it’s definitely one I want to try. I joined a few HS pages on Facebook to get owner opinions, as if need it to tow our caravan. The most common complaint on there seems to be the amount of warning bongs and beeps. A few people seem to have issues with the android phone connectivity, and some are waiting for updates from MG to solve some little glitches. But I’ve not read any horror stories. And for the price it seems very well spec’d, with a nice interior. If I had the money the ZT would’ve been in danger of getting part ex’d.

went car hunting today.
Bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee limited edition diesel
and the wife bought a Subaru G5X VX all wheel drive.
Im keeping the Mgzt as a project car and one of my 75s.
The Jeep is a great car for towing the caravan, 3.5 ton towing capacity
with a 3 litre turbo diesel it has a heap of power good for our country roads and long trips.

I could think of a lot of cars I'd pay £30k for and a Chinese MG wouldn't be one of them

To be fair, the OP is in Australia and is referring to Australian dollars, so a fair bit less than £30K ;)

At current exchange rate thats £16915, can still think of plenty of (admittedly used) cars I'd buy first.

I put this up in the relevant section some time ago on this forum. Good review.
