Alternator for cdti

Hello

I have cdti june 2003

i don't understand well if I need 100AMP or 120AMP for my cdti.

do I need to unmount the old alternator to be sure or all cdti mount the same alternator?

thanks

Either one will fit.
If your doing it yourself there are how to guides on here for removal from above and below, no need for the bumper to come off.

if I could choose, is it better 100 or 120?

120 as it gives more Amps, same in all other respects

The original alternator is 14v 115A

is it a problem if I installa a 12V 100A?

No, not a problem as long as all the bolts are in the right place.---:D

When in use you'll never know the difference. The maximum power required by your car with every electrical item turned on will probably not be more than half the output of your alternator anyway.

Yes, that's OK.

It's the code for the 115 amp alternator.

HI Paolo.
Personally i would not go below the 115A for the diesel.
