All windows/doors/bonnet/boot are closed.

no heavy lorries have gone past, quiet residential area.

Water in the bonnet switch maybe? was it raining at the time? use a couple of old credit cards either side of the switch, push them in a pop up the switch check for corrosion or damp in the connector.

Thanks Steve

No, not raining at the time. I will check the switch.

There was a waterboard van next door at the time of both activations.

They had a leak at the meter last week, lake in the garden type
However gone now and all is quiet, atm!!! I wonder?

If the water board comes back ask them if they have been using any electronic leak detector equipment.

They came today to repair the leak, according to my neighbor.
If the come back I'll ask.

No further issues the rest of the day (so far!!)

That's good news. If the alarm stays quiet for a few days it will tend to prove it was the equipment they were using.
