Just curious, what would be involved in changing a Manual box for an Automatic box?

Far too much in my opinion but I'm sure that others will tell you more. Plenty of good autos around for sale as they were often owned by elderly owners with garages!;)

Everything.....basically the entire wiring loom of the car gearbox, driveshafts, pedal box, then a ZCS recode.

Would I do it? absolutely not

Have done the swap on an R8 400 tourer, but there the electrics and other computer related items are nowhere near as complex as the 75 set up. As others have suggested buy an auto one.:}
