An ally inlet tube absorbs the heat and warms the air going in ;)

I am going to wrap the one we have on the ZS (came with the car).

Bet it gets more heat from passing through the valves in the head.
Air is moving fast enough..........:)

I think an alloy inlet will make exactly 0% difference to any power output.
