Drivers Side Window Issue -Anti Trap

Hi there,

The drivers side window on my newly acquired 75 goes down fine but only inches up, requiring many switch operations to get it closed again.

The window appears to operate freely and doesn’t seem to be binding. Assumed it was the anti trap function playing up but connector seems to be in place. Can’t see a tweeter connector on my car that may have been swapped over but I know the door has been replaced so may have been hardwired (wrongly). Tried both disconnected and shorting at this connected in case the anti trap wire was broken but no change.

Anything else i should be looking at?

Many thanks,
Toby

I had this on one of mine.

I just lubricated all the runners/guide rubbers & that did the trick.

During this hot weather, I just tend to spray them every month or so.

Thanks. I tried lubricating the guide rubbers (with silicone lubricant) and that didn’t help. Will take the door card off and try the guide runners when I get a chance.

It will be the mechanism that’s at fault, I had this on one of our cars, I changed it over and all was fine.

Perhaps I’ll give this a go if it avoids ongoing dismantling/maintenance. Thanks.
