Battery longevirty

Morning.

I'd just like to update you on my BOSCH battery detail.

Th mighty S4 008 was purchased on 2/12/2011 @ 15.20. It failed th other night 15/8/2019 @ 21.16.... That's a excellent 7 years 8 months and 13 days. So iv bought another one.;)

Found info below of internet, so must be true..!!!

BOSCH batteries are made by Exide. BOSCH are made in Salina, Kansas, and Bristol 🧐 Tennessee..

Exide' s main plant...👀 is in Kolkata India. They are largest manufacturers of automotive and industrial lead-acid batterys in India. And th 4th largest in th world....

Main worry though is my cheap...!!! batteries I buy here might be jepodising there lives and eco system.... Nowts for free is it..🤔🚑

My understanding is that Bosch batteries are made by and the same as Varta. I was not aware of a link with Exide.

They do certainly last and perform well during their lifetime.

Over umpteen years on the forum, I've noted that the 'average' battery lasts arbout seven years.

My Yuasa has been on the car 6 yrs now and seems to be performing well. Just a matter of time I guess because batteries can just fail without warning. I may try a Bosch, depending when this one gives out.

My original battery lasted from2002 until 2013, eleven years. I then bought a Bosch battery from ecp. So it has lasted 6 years so far, about half its lifetime gone already.

That's nothing I bought a battery back in 1998, and the vibrator still going strong. :D

I have just heard a whisper that you are not getting anymore holy water for christening’s. Is that because you keep stirring it with the vibratory thing? Three hail mary’s For you my lad. You will lose your diocese the way you keep miss behaving.
