I thought I would post up a nice little useful tool I purchased today while I was browsing in my local Lidl store.

I battery and Alternator tester, two quick fit clamps with added short circuit protection, you can check your battery charge level and the alternator out put via an LED display, link below along with a couple of photo's.

I already had one of these but with the spike points not the clamps, so thought for £2.99 why not.

I may go back tomorrow and get the battery charger as well even though I already have two charges;)

I also thought it maybe a good idea if any other members have bought or seen a good bargain form the above stores they could post here and then we would have a basis of good useful items in one place cheers Arctic.

I got the Lidl charger some time ago, it's very good. It's only needed if I leave something on and drain the battery, which is very rare. Nice to have in that instance but when my Yuasa dies it will probably need replacing......and I'll have a charger to put enough in to go get a new battery:D

I have the battery chargers. The cables pull out of the end of the battery charger far to easily but the wires stay attached.

A couple of years ago I bought a clamp/straight edge about 3ft long. Has been very good for running a circular saw along. Can be set at a slight angle as well.

I have some of their air tools, the internet speaks very well of their power tools but I am yet to use them.

I did buy a fleece a few months ago, very warm.

Hi, there are also 1kg powder fire extinguishers at £8.99 - which is good, if you check eBay you can pay more than a tenner for those (worth having in a car)

I bought one of the boot bags and they are very good. You get Velcro strips with them to stick it to the mat in the boot, and they work. Had mine about three years.
