Headlining fabric

Has anyone come across a perfect or very close match to the original ZT headlining?

Mine is sagging and will need replacing soon

ceedy 13th January 2022 10:55

unfortunately no, and i've tried a lot of companies

In the end I did the Zr with fabric from Amazon, last year.

And now waiting for better weather before tackling the ZT with the roll of the same . its just a light grey .

Keep a eye on the Project Nigel Youtube Channel, I know he breaks Rovers and MG's so you might find some there.

I think he has a Parts Page on Facebook with the Project Nigel being the name.

I'm sure there was a (fairly) recent thread that recommended a Range Rover colour.

Found it, Martrim Range Rover Oatmeal: https://www.martrim.co.uk/car-trimmi...art=add&id=901. You can request a sample.

I used Martrim material to cover my Zircon Blue project car. Colour was as near perfect as you could get after checking several other samples.

I’ve still got some in the workshop, enough to do a full roof

Hi Steve/Jim.
Please could you advise if the above comes with foam already attached to the material, or do you have to add the foam first, then the cover of your choice.

Never used it Steve only remember the post about it, maybe Jim could offer more info. It does state the material is 3mm thick so a backing is quite possible. For a definitive answer: [email protected]

Yes the foam backing is already attached.
Jim
