HK rear shelf unit with electric rear blind?

As it says in the title really.

I've seen several HK systems coming up for sale and have read about retrofits here but I have the OEM fitted electric rear blind.

Is it possible to fit the rear HK shelf speaker system with the blind?

Is there a picture anywhere of a rear parcel shelf with this installation?

cheers

it is possible, I have a couple of 75's that have both on from the factory. I am sure someone will have a how-to somewhere.

Yes my car has both

Do you have a photo of the rear parcel shelf showing the HK speaker grills and blind by any chance please?.

I wanted to to see how it all lines up/looks and what holes etc I might have to cut (as I doubt I'll find the right replacement parcel shelf) before I consider upgrading.

cheers

the HK grill has a simple oval hole under it in shelf. and the slot for fitting a blind is marked on all shelfs ready to cut out ;)

I've just installed the full h/k set up and i have the rear electric sunblind.
You dont need to cut holes for the two speakers that are fitted to the subwoofer, there is a tube that fits in a hole to the centre of the sub and you just drill a hole through the parcel shelf, the hole is already there in the bodywork, just take out the rubber bung, doesnt interfere with the blind at all.

I need the h/k grill to cover the hole if anyone has one( with the four fixings!).

Steve.

There is a good 'How-To' on retro fitting it in the How-To section as well
