It’s always the second Saturday in April.

I always understood it was the closest Saturday to the 15th April, if you check previous years you'll find it's been held as late as the 18th.

I myself will be there with the Irish owners, not sure what will be in or where we will be parked but sure!

I’ll be there but sadly not in the tourer I’ll be with both my metros.

I'll be there with the ZT and hopefully the Tomcat as well. Dunno which one i'll be driving. Laura will probably grab the ZT as the heater is more efficient lol

One on each foot presumably! Only kidding - I like Metros, never having owned one, but keep looking at some of the very low mileage ones which are now coming onto the market.

My 1st car was a metro clubman 1.0, was an awesome little car and set me on the path of getting my 114GSi, sadly now both have gone to the scrapyard in the sky. I'd have another in an instant if i had the cash and space. Doubt the wife would be impressed either, though she fell in love with the tomcat after experiencing it.

Dear Rover 75 and MG ZT friends,

We will come over from the continent to visit the POL and your National Meet the day after on April 19, 2020.

We are looking forward to it; we will probably come with the Rover 75 Tourer, but it is also possible that we will attend with the Rover 220 Coupé from 1994.

Myself and Deanna will definitely be attending with Redfive now. We've just booked from Friday to Sunday at Premier Inn Bromsgrove Central for POL and the national meet :) Good hotel that one, stayed there last time and usually get a lot of MG and Rover owners staying over for the weekend.

Hi Keith, thought we had to go on Friday as event is on Saturday?

John (PercyUrwin) and myself are leaving early on Saturday morning to drive straight to POL, this normally starts around 10am....then we are booked in to the Bromesgrove central for Sat and Sunday night as the National meet is on the Sunday.
A nice leisurely drive home on the Monday, if your going to the Frimley breakfast meet John and I will be there if you want to have a chat about it.

Just a wee update.
Last I heard , POL is still going ahead however if this changes I will post up and PM everyone who is hoping to attend.

Given the current situation, I suspect it may be cancelled or postponed but that's just my thinking.

My thinking is, it will be irresponsible of the organisers to go ahead with POL. They cancel because of rain, but I suppose a pandemic causes no damage to the grass. People seem to weigh the risk to themselves. How about the risk of a milkman, courier, or postman contracting it at POL, taking it to work, then taking it to your homes.

Personally I don't see PoL happening. Every day the Covid situation is progressing and it's only a short matter of time until large public gatherings are banned. If that doesn't pull PoL then it's likely the weather will!

Just seen on Facebook it has been cancelled, it had to be expected really.

Yes, I've seen it. Also advice is to avoid gatherings where possible although they're not being banned officially. It all comes as no surprise really.
Use common sense and stay safe everyone.

Sorry couldn't make it even if it was still on as I would have to go into 2 weeks isolation if I leave the Isle of Man when I return as thing stand as of today, so for now staying put.
