ICE Problems

Hi all I have several problems trying to install a Kenwood KDC-6051u headset in my 2002 75 but have the following problems Installed Autoleads PC2-05-4 and PC-99-ken looms along with PC99-x04-Rover lead.Followed all instructions on here to the letter and still the steering wheel controls don't work!! Also the plastic surround that fits around Kenwood headunit does not fit because of the facsia adaptor I have bought could someone please first of all let me know which fascia adaptor is the best one and what have I done wrong so that my steering wheel controls work again.

Thanks in advance

A bit late for you now, but the PC99-X04 is the wrong adapter lead as the BMW to ISO adapter lead only carries 13 of the 17 cables of the BMW connector, two of the missing ones are for the steering wheel controls.

One option is to replace the PC99-X04 lead with a PC99-X32 lead, which also converts from BMW to ISO.

The other is to fit the two missing cables in the BMW to ISO adapter lead:
From pin 10 of the BMW connector - Blue/Orange cable - to pin 2 of the ISO connector, and from pin 17 of the BMW connector - Blue/Purple cable - to pin 3 of the ISO connector.

Ok now I know the proper adaptor to buy Ho Hum Could someone put me onto a good quality single din fascia adaptor,i have tried the type with the pocket at the top but the fit and finish left a lot to be desired so thought someone could suggest a good alternative. Thanks for the help so far.

You could try get an OEM one. I have a Kenwood unit waiting to go into my 75 and got the OEM single DIN fascia and it fits like a glove on the workbench.

I cannot comment on what it is going to sit like when installed as I am waiting my patch leads and also some vinyl wrap to jazz up the fascia, but it is very secure when I tested it on the workbench

Right have been on Rimmer Bros website and found this part number FJV000670RUY-lovox Is this the right part to fit a single DIN cd player into? or am I barking up the wrong tree?
