Headlight deflectors for overseas driving.

Does anyone have an OEM pair of these?

I would like to know if you can peel off the black sections that are stuck to the perspex covers?

Can anyone advise please?

I had a pair of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/HEADLAMP-DEF.../dp/B007T7SIRO
which worked ace, I have seen some people do it with insulation tape.

Many thanks mate but i need to know if the black segments can be removed altogether from.the genuine OEM deflectors. Thanks anyway.

the answer is no, they can't - at least if they can it's not obvious. I wasn't specifically looking to see if they could be peeled off though. Not sure why you'd want to though. If you just want some headlight protectors then they are/ were and accessory that does come up from time to time. Besides the deflectors are only for the (non projector) dipped beams, leaving the mains unprotected.

Which headlights do you have as all the projector models can be switched to lhd for temporary use abroad...

I had a set, and they're definitely painted on, rather than tape.

Thanks all.

Yes I've been rumbled. I wanted to use them as headlight protectors because I can't find a set at any price!!! :-(

I know it's a painful thought, but is it not cheaper (and probably easier) to "just" buy a replacement headlight if needed? They can be picked up for <£20 on eBay... (Unless yours has projector headlights)

It would be mate if I wasn't a hoarder of OEM accessories for the 75.
These continue to elude me and its giving me the hump lol.

I did find a set in Australia the other day online only for them to tell me they had lost them in the warehouse so they cancelled the order!

However, I know Fraser has got a set in his shed somewhere which he needs to find for me asap please lol

Like I said already you'd only be able to protect the outer lenses (dippd beam on reflectors) anyway. I haven't even tried to fit mine yet but I doubt they'd fit the inner lenses as well. (but then you'd need two sets!) Just keep a watched search on the Ebay and ask around the traders for them to keep an eye open for a set of proper protectors.
