Just as well my holiday is not in Turkey
 

The BBC reports that the sea of some coasts in Turkey are suffering from large swathes of “Sea Snot”.

Apparently they think algae has thrived on pollution - mainly human waste :eek: - and has caused an algal bloom that looks like mucus.


Lovely.....

That's not to be sniffed at!

I always laugh (nervously!) when I see a "beautiful" bay which then gets masses of hotel and other touristy bits built around it, all spewing the sewage straight into the sea via a "long?" pipe. Then people wonder why this sort of thing happens.:shrug::getmecoat:

Another excuse to stay by the pool with a cold beer.

And you know what people do in those pools.------:eek::eek::eek:
