Kv6 Cam Belt change Factory video
OK - A lot of discussion on just how to change the kv6 cambelts and just how to use the special tools. I just thought to do a quick youtube search and easily found this gem. I am gobsmacked that no-one else has posted it.
So without further ado.... |
This video has been posted/refered to several times, and it misses an important point --> the setup for the tensioner: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...1&postcount=24
So, meanwhile when we are waiting for the next hundred posts: https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4627/...3ab6fc29_z.jpg |

https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...lt+kv6+youtube A good video and well known to members , but it does refer to the older kv6 as fitted to the 800 series so the rear belt sprockets are different . |
But surely these V6 belts go on forever ? :getmecoat:

It covers exactly how to refit the tensioner that was removed. It doesn't cover replacing the tensioner itself granted. Quote:
Well it says Kv6  I've only been on here 7 years and haven't seen any mention of it in that time. Quote:

I've even been known to ... cycle ... to the pub! |
I found that video very helpful when I did my belts. I had the laptop on the workbench along with the shop manual and watched the video in bits as I did the job. Some parts over and over again!
The engine he was using must have been apart 1000 times. I wish mine came apart and went back together that easy! :banghead: |
