Coated brake discs yes or no

Hi I was looking at mercury discs and wondered about getting them coated from the factory( black, gold, silver). So what’s the opinion on this, good or bad ?
Thanks

The ones I’ve seen are still looking fresh years later so I’d say it’s a good idea.

My Pagid coated disc’s are still ok after around 15 months.

I've just put Ferodo Coat+ on Mo's back wheels. Not looked at them yet and she's done about 350 miles so far. Too early to answer your question but I didn't like the last new discs going rusty in a week

Pagid on the front of Moonstone, no rust looking good.

Ive got genuine Motorcraft discs all round on my Focus and they are coated black. No or little rust after 2 years and if the paint comes off due to jet washing etc a thin coat of satin black lasts for another 12 months.:D
