TOAF Error codes - where to start looking
Hi all.
Plugged TOAF in the other day and got these codes: C7 Lever type sensor 1 - Short circuit to batt +; Sporadic error F4 Can-Bus 244 - Open circuit; Sporadic error 20 Logic Power loss; Sporadic error 20 Soundgenerator rear off; Short circuit to ground; Open circuit; Error Present; Sporadic error (I guess this is something to do with the tow bar wiring that was found to be missing an earth when investigated at the recent Nano). 21 HVAC Front load sensor break; Error count 1; Error present 28 Clamp R missing; Error count 1; Error not present (SHADOW) 42 - left low beam defect; Error count 1; Error not present The electronics side of things I'm not so good at :o. If someone call tell me which ones need some investigating and where to look I'll be grateful. Cheers. Andy. |
Sorry but none of your Toaf codes make sense to me - they are usually four digit codes preceded by a letter P eg. P1647. Run Toaf again and see if you get similar P codes.

Thanks.
I've done it again and got the same result. No sign of any "P" anything Now wondering if I'm looking at the right/wrong thing. I've had the lead since 2019 and used it before - FTDI ch340g VAG COM KKL 409.1 OBD2 Ⅱ K-Line KWP2000 ISO9141 USB FOR VW/AUDI and yes pins 7&8 are bridged. Previously been able to get into live data for, say, diesel injectors but oddly I can't get the "Engine" tab to do anything at all. It goes to a screen asking about which engine (1.8/2.5/diesel) and then nothing. Maybe a Win 10 update has mucked things up? Drivers? It there an absolutely basic, step by step guide somewhere with some screenshots so I can read/see exactly what I'm supposed to be doing? Maybe a complete reinstall of TOAF? As I said it's not my area of expertise. :o Thanks in advance. |
Sorry not going to be much help here as I've only ever used Win10 and Toaf very briefly as XP is the normal one I use. Hopefully someone who understands Windows like Hogweed might drop by.
Anyway if you look at the link you'll see the typical error codes reported: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s....php?p=2659614 Regards |

Andy, have you had a word with Jamie? Might be best to get it on T4 to see what's what.

Hhmmm can't think of any way in which Windows would cause anything like this - if TOAF is behaving in a fundamentally different way from normal, I'd say it's TOAF... having said that, I can't see how that would happen either! There may be a setting in TOAF which lets you toggle between error display modes or something, but that's just a guess. I haven't used it for a while now, sorry... |
