Records...
'- Owners of a specialist sports car in Britain claimed the world record for the largest number of vehicles of the same type ever driven together in a procession. They put on the stunt, involving 479 cars driving through central London, for a serious reason: to save the TVR factory that makes the vehicles in northwest England from closure.'
Reckon we could beat that? |
We'd fill up an entire motorway! :D
Easily beaten if you as me. ;) |
We drove our Goldwing in a procession of over 1000 Goldwings through Huddersfield once.. does that count?

We tried to bag this one at MGF 10 last year. Sadly we were a victim of our own success, with nearly 600 F/TFs turning up throughout the day the Heritage Motor Museum was simply too small a venue to be able to organise it.
We were hoping to take it from the Land Rover group that had gained it a couple of weeks prior to our event. We possibly could have done it if we had been given permission to use the test track but this wasn't to be. The other issue was the logistics of the thing, most of us organisers were scattered throught the museum running gymkhanas, commentating over the PA system, running quizzes, being a host to Gerry McGovern and in my case giving three technical lectures throughout the day - it was just too difficult to get all these drivers back to thier cars and lined up in procession in a confined space. Still i can't help but feel that we missed a good opportunity. May have to try again in 4 years time at MGF 15... |
