Q. Is it possible to fit a new LCD display?

A. Yes, apparently it is....

This arrived today...

A used IPK with a wormed display removed ready for the new unit...

First switch on test after surgery...

Now how much will these cost....?
well I can supply one and keep one for the wife's car...

I will be happy to break even on the one I sell....

The total with cost, post, import duty etc was £265 for the pair... so half that is 137.50.

Fitted to your IPK total would be 175.00, but then you should have an ipk message centre that will last for many years...

For me to supply a virgin IPK with this in... 200.00

I do hope in the future to have enough interest to warrant shipping these in (and getting them a lot cheaper).

anyone interested just PM me

Nice work. Are you able to programme the virgin ones if we arrive at your premises?

if you already have message centre then I can copy the program across, I do have a VT4 but this is locked to my own cars...

otherwise I can supply and one of the T4 owners can install it for you

Very well done, and great news that they work. That is still a good price compared with what rimmers are asking for a new one and the peace of mind its been properly soldered.

Thanks, it's not the soldering that kills em, its the vibration and temperature swings...

all of mine come with extra support for the ribbon cable which should help prevent further damage...

Once again due to forethought and ingenuity, we have another trader offering something to the members of this wonderful club of ours. Well done Peter once again.

If only I could justify spending that amount of money. I'll have to save up just to get mine delined.:grin:

Hope it does take off though and that then with enough interest prices may come down.

Good luck Pete
