Have I lost summat?

On lifting the bonnet today I noticed there is a nice shining clean empty bolt hole on top of the auto box (diesel) next to what I believe is the starter inhibitor. Maybe it's always been there but if something has fallen off please let me know. Or better, if you find it, please post on . . .

Many thanks,
Dave

Thanks for swift response but can't quite see what's dropped off. If you have the bit (a) can you supply and (b) what does (did) it do? Seems to run OK.

It’s part of the switching mechanism I believe, I’m not sure if I’ve got one in stock as most of the auto boxes I have in stock have had the isolator switches taken off them as they sell pretty easy not sure why because I’ve not come across an auto yet in my possession that’s needed one, probably jinxed myself saying that now

Hi Dave.
I can not see what is missing ? as your photo looks just like my photo of the same area of the gearbox on my car.

Right so nothing has dropped off then. Odd because the bolt hole is shiny: mines shinier than yours as I could say. Thanks.

Are now I’ve looked at the photo in more depth I can see it’s not a hole there it actually has the slot bolt In place, oh yes everything is in place 👍
