Water

My boot is also damp, i would check the boot seal, possibly renew it, if they are available, check there arn't any seals missing in the floor, once you have dried everything out, but i would say 99% of the time water can only enter the boot because either the seals not sealing, or a drain channel is blocked

Most common cause of water in the boot is the rear light seals leaking.

You'd get a better response posting your question in the Technical Help Forum.

Hi,
There are numerous posts concerning water ingress into the boot, usual suspects are:
1). The rubber gaskets on the rear light assemblies having split.
2). If the car has a sunroof there is a mod you can do to where the drains exit the boot to prevent leaks.
3). The waist trim securing clips can leak water into the boot.
4). The rear window trim securing clips which run along the bottom edge of the rear screen can leak water into the boot.

Those are the more usual problem areas, there are other, less common ones, have a look in the technical help section, plenty of posts there and solutions,
Regards,

Steve
