Xmas lay off

Well we were told today the factory is closing Dec 13th for 3 weeks as we don't have many orders. The holidays we would have originally been off will be paid, the rest, not. That on top of a £107 vet bill last night was not what I was hoping for over the festive period. :( All I need now is the Avensis to fail its MOT next week and I have a hat trick of rough luck!

Sorry to hear that Dawn. I hope the Toyota gets a pass next week

Hope things pick up at work Dawn, we are very quiet too, we have 36 machines and only 20 running at the moment, not good!

We have some new stuff for Toyota and JCB that will help but it doesn't kick in until the new year. Hopefully all will be well. Just a bad time to happen as my caravan ground rent bill arrives January!

Bad news. Are you allowed to find alternative work for those 3 weeks?
Good luck

Head up and best foot forward Dawn. I too would have gave the amount you mentioned and every penny that I had to provide for the health of my late four-legged soulmate and partner in mischief and eating biscuits ... a Westie who demanded eye contact whenever she felt that my standards fell short. :shower:

Its annoying as my dogs are insured, but I get lots of "little" bills that are just above the £90 excess! :duh: the Avensis could be the killer. Its cost me a puncture repair and two wipers in the 4 years Ive owned it. (Not counting servicing) its bound to bite me at some point
