New £25000 "Baby" Land Rover anyone?

Looks like Land Rover are downsizing their iconic Land Rover, "The £25,000 Land Rover’s styling is said to draw heavily on the new Defender as well as referencing the original iconic Land Rover."

"The company’s need for such a car has also been hastened by incoming EU CO2 regulations and the requirement for the firm to hit an average of 130g/km of CO2 by 2021, ahead of another big cut in 2025."

Is that a rebadged Yeti? Just looks like another car that's already on the market

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder Les.

Personally I really don't like it:xmas-smiley-008:

Kia Soul, anyone? But a shortened 3 door version!

Lancpudn 10th December 2019 07:06

To me it's got the look of a Kia Soul about it.

That is an old photo of the dc100 concept which was the initial design for the defender replacement.
It is simply magazine 'spin' or 'imagined by autocar ' as their article unhelpfully predicts!

It's soo ugly looks like a beefed up Nissan Cube. Not many old defender design cues to be fair - no exposed rivets, more importantly no bolt-on panels, full of electric unnecessaries to go wrong and probably no draughts around the knees and ankles :icon_rolleyes:. OK for the school run I s'pose but any serious utility work or off road use would mean bumps and scrapes needing expensive panel repairs to the body or end up getting written off. Another Land Rover girly fashion statement IMHO. No wonder Nissan now rule the world in real utility vehicles. :lipsrsealed:
