Alpine Radio Model CDA-9831R

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
The radio fitted to my 75 Club CDT SE is an Alpine CDA-9831R but the steering wheel controls do not work with it.

Is there a connection diagram available, or do I need to purchase an interface box or could it be a wiring connection problem?

I don't know if it ever worked or if it is an original radio.

Many thanks, and looking forward to the usual assistance/solutions from the forum.

You'll need an interface such as this from Connects2

Two parts required .

1 is part number CTSRV006

2 is part number CTALPINELEAD

It depends on the audio connector on the car loom, if it is a 17 pin BMW connector, you need CTSRV002. If it is two 8 pin ISO connectors, with the Blue/Orange and Blue/Purple cables in pins 2 & 3 of the grey connector, you need CTSRV003. If those two cables are on their own in a green mini ISO connector you need CTSRV006.
You will also need the CTALPINELEAD.

I think I have a brand new connects2 harness and control interface with round pins for earlier 75 models possibly pre facelift that you can have as its just going to gather dust on the shelf. CTSRV005. Plus jack lead to an Alpine head unit.

CTSRV006 is for the facelift models.
