It looks like....
The top mounts complete with new bearings have given up, the knock knock from the front over every little undulation on the road, just 10 months old, not like I use the car for quarry work, more shoddy parts that aren't fit for purpose. and yes, they are supposed to be genuine or oem, the originals were replaced for peace of mind as new springs were fitted, they had covered 155000 miles, Ian, do you still have them? :}
I shouldn't complain, removing the struts and then the springs is quite an easy job really......:mad: |

I’m never gonna live that down am I :D Thanks for the offer Ian, I’ll give you a shout when I’m going to do the job. |
just changed mine again after only 8000 mls. firstline NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-. I too did the same thing by changing the originals whilst the job was on changing both front struts and springs and isolators. i will not use the mounts with plastic covers on them. i think that they separate too easily. I now use metal retainer top mounts. also you must remember when you assemble these as you do release the spring tension to be sure that they are seated correctly otherwise they will sit at the wrong angle. again I believe there is a how to on here somewhere....
