Sort of an update thing

Hello.

So my IPK was staying resolutely on after I removed the key and locked the car. It was quite bright, and caused my lovely neighbour to knock on my door to alert me to the problem.

At my wit's end, I resolved to venture under the dashboard and discover the fuse box with a view to seeing if any of the fuses were blown. Well, having fought the turn buckles, bent the flap through sheer force of will and placed myself in a 2/3 upside down position, I started pulling.

The tiny fuse tweezers are fabulous. At first I tried to do it logically, targeting the 5a fuses my phone told me were the ones connected to the IPK. After I pulled them, my IPK was still lit and mocking me.

I resolved not to let it beat me. I removed ALL the 5a fuses, at which point the IPK gave in. It went dark so I replaced the fuses. Still dark. Wrestled the panel back in place. Still dark. Got upright and locked the car. Still dark.

Had a codger nap. Went out again to drive her to pick Summer up from school. Everything working normally. Result!

I don't think I actually repaired anything, but perhaps pulling the fuses reset whatever it was that caused it to light up by itself?

Cheerio,

Dale

Usual cure is a simple battery reset, disconnect the battery for 30 mins. Worked for mine and many others.
