I would get a sheet of glass and stick wet n dry paper to it, and give it a diy "skim" also consider which coolant you use after, I used this

I used my original injectors, no stressing of wires or modification, except the map sensor hole, i had to enlarge it. This manifold is an early one with vcc on it.

I would drill a 3mm hole anywhere on the lowest point, then put in a self tapper screw, so it can drain when you want, and not blow.

I find it strange that insurance is still expensive for me, at 51, with a clean driving record, and never any claims, city insurance wanted £530 ! When asked why, "Because they are hard to get parts"...
