Well the good news is that I fitted another new coolant cap and after a 20 mile spin the level was still spot on.

I'm not 100% optimistic that its fixed, especially seeing how the previous one was...

I fitted a new cap a little while back. It fixed the pressure problem I had at the time but I suspect this is different - no unusual pressurising and no sign of any loss via the cap.

I guess I could pull the inlets off and, if they look ok (would it be obvious?), remove the rear rocker cover and take it from there.
